FoutsCast Weather ("the site", "we") is a static website with no user accounts and no server-side database of its own. This page explains what data is used and who it's shared with in order to show you weather.
If you allow it, your browser's Geolocation API gives us your coordinates to fetch weather for where you are. Those coordinates are sent directly from your browser to our weather, radar, and place-name data providers (listed below) to get you a forecast — they are not sent to, or stored on, any server we operate. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your browser settings and search for a location by name instead.
To show weather, radar, and location names, your browser makes direct requests to:
Each of these receives your IP address and, where relevant, the coordinates you're requesting weather for, as is standard for any request made over the internet. We don't control their data practices — see their own privacy policies for details.
We save your unit preference (°F/°C) in your browser's local storage so it's remembered next time. This stays on your device and isn't sent anywhere.
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info. Ads on this site are placed within the page content and are never shown as popups, interstitials, or overlays that block the forecast.
